Billy Elkins Films provides high quality film-style production.
As a true full service production company we handle all aspects of filmmaking, which can be seen in our sizeable investment in our own film and Sony Digital broadcast cameras, a multi-camera production package, a state-of-the-art editing facility and a grip truck completely equipped with HMI and Quartz lighting packages, dollies, jibs, camera rigs and props. To better service our clients we use a Sony DSR500 WSL digital broadcast camera. It has a longer recording time capability and it's 2/3 inch chips offer better color saturation and lower light sensitivity. Another tool is a GlideCam (similar to a SteadiCam). This allows our clients to have access to the same tools normally reserved for national commercials and feature films. Our knowledge and constant use of these tools produces a consistent high-end product, which provides our clients with a better film. Through our (on property) state-of-the-art all digital non-linear editing facility, we deliver more creative options-- more quickly, with unlimited compositing, layering, and effect and transition applications. A schooled audio engineer, Billy uses a digital audio workstation for film sweetening and voiceovers. He has produced several ADDY award-winning jingles and original soundtracks. We output to Digital DVCAM, Beta SP, DVD, CD-ROM, as well as other digital formats. We now store all our select takes, animations and audio components on DVD using our own DVD burners. This capability ensures each project looks and sounds great.

The edit suite: JBL 4410 studio monitors, Mackie 16/8 audio mixing board, nonlinear edit system with Beta SP recorder. This is an acoustically tuned room with 5 channel surround sound monitoring, 60" rear projection television, digital audio recording, raised three person producer desk, soundproof ADR/audio room, totally state-of-the-art!
